Place was clean, people were nice. Food is edible but overpriced. Everything tasted nearly bland and generic. We asked the waitress about their biscuits and gravy and she frowned. Eventually she said she would eat the biscuits, gravy and sausage. Despite her reaction, we followed her recommendation. Gravy was tasteless, biscuits and home fries were dry. I don't really see the need for a second visit.
My husband and I are locals, so this was not our first time to eat at BumbleBee’s. We have experienced slow service there before, but this morning took the cake. Got seated immediately. Received our drinks immediately. Took 10 minutes for the waitress to bring us our menus. Our order was finally taken (several minutes later) and then we waited and we waited and we waited and we waited some more, no food. I flagged our waitress down and asked about our food and she told us that it was up and that she would bring it right out. Ten minutes go by and and still no food. Then I watched our waitress bring out the food for another table that arrived about 30 minutes AFTER us. I again flagged our waitress down, who says that our food is up and my husband informed her we were leaving; again she said our food was up and asked if we wanted the food to-go. I told her that she had told us about 10 minutes ago our food was up and we had already been there an hour. They just lost a customer and no I would NOT recommend them.
We came here 2 years ago and the service was bad, food ok. This year it was recommended to us and told to us that it was under new ownership. Well it was the same. We walked in and wasn’t greeted by anyone. We didn’t know to seat ourselves (no sign). Took a while to take our order. We had to ask what came with our breakfast and then we waited and waited on our food. The couple that came in behind us received their food before us. The food was ok but pricey. We had to ask for coffee refills, and creamer. Second time was not a charm and won’t be back for a third.
This was my third time at Bumblebees since it has been under new ownership. Our waitress was nice and the food was great. Very pleasant experience. We will be back.
Traveled with friends for the weekend and found this little gem! The food was delicious and the service was great! The banana nut pancakes were the best! It's a cute little place and worth a visit.
