Small Lake Blue Ridge restaurant. The views of Lake Blue Ridge are great and it could be a great place to eat if the service were better. There is no interior seating at the restaurant...part of the eating area is covered however, and there is also an uncovered deck. We arrived around 8:15 (they close at 9) and right off the bat, our waitress acted as if we were arriving at 8:45...she was clearly irritated we were coming that late. Here's a tip, if you want to be off work at 8:15, go work somewhere that closes at 8! Our drinks were empty for about 10 minutes straight at one point and I was finally so parched I flagged her down to bring us drinks. Not like she couldn't see us...the entire covered place can't be more than 30-35 feet wide (everyone was seated under the covered part as it was pouring rain). The food was average bar food, nothing great but not that bad either...quesadillas were the best thing we had (only had 2 appetizers)...nachos were suspect. The menu is limited, which is fine, but this is not somewhere you are going to come back to because the food is to die for...because it's not. You come here for the view and that's about it. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and giving them 2.5 stars...if it weren't for the view, this would be a solid 1 star. If the service improved and the food quality was increased to decent bar food, I would probably give it a 3.5 star. But for now, it is a solid 2.5. Prices are average for what you get, which isn't much.
Watered down mixed drinks, waitresses standing around on their cell phones and small high priced food portions. Go for the view and nothing else.
Its a great little place. People are nice, view is pretty. Enjoyed great conversation and great beer. The pulled pork quesadilla is awesome!
Family was in town the weekend of 8/11/17 and we've been bragging about the food and atmosphere at the marina. Waitress was friendly enough, drinks were good. When it comes to the service out of the kitchen though that's where it gets bad. We ordered a 2 wraps, shrimp tacos, and a burger. One hour later and many many conversations with the waitress and people around who came in well after us are enjoying their food. We finally left after one hour of waiting. Never received our food never an apology and we're still charged full price for drinks. Oh and never saw a manager. Not sure what happened to this place but we probably won't be back which is sad. We are locals and will share this experience.
Best smoked wings in town!! Friendly staff with beautiful lake views ...Can't beat it :)
